About me

I am Prathamesh Chougale, a dedicated FullStack developer with a focus on crafting dynamic and responsive web pages. My skill set includes proficiency in Next.js, React, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I have devoted one year to honing my expertise in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and I am currently engaged in active learning and application of ReactJS and Next.js for the past 2-4 months.

My proficiency extends to a range of programming languages, including C++, C, Java, and Python. I have hands-on experience working with frameworks such as MongoDB, MySQL, Nodejs, GitHub, Git, Vercel, Pug, and Docker for hosting sites and connecting the backend. Additionally, I have a keen interest in Game Development, actively developing games in Unity and creating 3D models using Blender.

Currently studying in the 3rd year of Computer Engineering at Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering, Pune. Acquired proficiency in various programming languages and frameworks through self-directed learning with the assistance of online resources. This proactive approach has not only enhanced technical skills but also facilitated staying abreast of the latest developments in the field of computer engineering.

I am a regular participant on platforms such as HackerRank, Codechef, and LeetCode. Additionally, I have taken part in numerous internet competitions, including Hackathons and Codechef contests. My focus on Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) involves regular practice using both C++ and Java. Particularly, I favor C++ for DSA and have dedicated two years to honing my proficiency in this language.

    Enrolling at Dr. Cyrus Poonawalla English Medium School in the 8th standard exposed me to a diverse community, offering valuable opportunities to learn from individuals representing various regions. As I progressed through my academic journey, my aptitude for mathematics became evident, culminating in an impressive score of 94 out of 100 during my 10th standard exams. While my overall score reached 84 percent, it was the school's educational environment and diverse interactions that significantly contributed to a rich and rewarding experience. The knowledge and experiences gained during my time at the school have played a pivotal role in shaping both my academic performance and personal growth.

    I enrolled at Lakshya Academy for JEE preparation, integrated with DY Patil Kadamwadi, completing my 12th grade concurrently at DY Patil while preparing for JEE and Board exams at Lakshya. Achieving a commendable JEE percentile of 96.33 and a 98.39 percentile in CET-Maharashtra, I navigated the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, which led to the cancellation of 12th-grade exams. Marks were assigned based on past three years' records, resulting in a satisfactory 78.2 percentage. Despite being lower than anticipated, my focus on competitive exam results over board marks remained unchanged. Adapting to pandemic challenges, I remain committed to my academic pursuits, eagerly anticipating the application of my skills and knowledge in future endeavors.

    In my college journey, I initially entered based on my JEE marks, but my true passion lies in physics and research. Unfortunately, lacking guidance, my first year was spent exploring computer science without a clear direction. However, my second year proved transformative as I delved into web development, mastering HTML, CSS, and Javascript to create webpages. The third year became even more enriching, with explorations into various facets of web development. I extended my skills to include React and Next.js, broadening my knowledge of web applications. This phase also involved delving into the backend, where I crafted projects using Node.js and Express.js, seamlessly integrating databases like MongoDB and MySQL. Furthermore, I honed my skills in deploying web applications, successfully launching numerous projects on platforms such as Vercel. Despite the initial setbacks, my journey has evolved into a dynamic exploration of web development, showcasing a range of skills from frontend to backend and deployment. As I continue to pursue my passion for physics and research, the newfound proficiency in web development serves as a valuable asset, opening doors to diverse opportunities in both fields.
